Timber treatment covers measures used to extend the service life of wood and improve resistance to biological deterioration.
At Waiqele Sawmill, chemical treatment is carried out on site. Hazard Class 3 treatment is used for construction-purpose timber unless a customer requires another treatment level or specific end-use application.
Pine posts and poles are produced in varying diameters and lengths and treated according to their intended use. Our integrated facilities allow treatment to be coordinated with milling, drying, profiling, grading and packing.
