Our Mahogany Process
From forest to timber
At Waiqele Sawmill Pte Ltd, we manage the entire timber process from forest to finished product. Our services include:
- Harvesting: We carry out our own sustainable harvesting of mahogany and other timber.
- Cartage: All logs are transported from our harvesting sites to the sawmill using our own fleet.
- Milling & Processing: Logs are milled with precision in our facility, including resawing, filleting, and shaping.
- Seasoning: We perform both air-drying and kiln drying. Our two in-house kilns ensure controlled drying for stability and quality.
- Treatment: Timber is treated in our own treatment plants to ensure durability and resistance to pests.
- Planing & Profiling: We have three planer machines for all moulding and profiling requirements.
- Grading & Packing: Finished timber is carefully graded and packed for local and international markets
